Senior Flavourist (Savoury) - Taste & Wellbeing - Your future position?
As a Senior Flavourist (Savoury) at Givaudan, you will work for a company that touches billions of consumers more than a hundred times a day. You will be part of a team of very experienced Flavourists and in a position to develop your expertise together with your colleagues inside and outside your team.
In this role, you will apply your existing knowledge of savoury and protein flavour creation to drive long-term innovation. You will lead and coordinate flavour development projects and contribute to strategic and tactical planning, in order to effectively drive functional business value growth, according to organisational objectives and EH&S policies.
Reporting to the Head of Global Flavour Creation, Application and Sensory, you will be part of our Science and Technology Team and will be based in Zurich, Switzerland.

In this exciting job you will:
- Provide technical leadership and execute Savory and Proteins innovation projects according to prioritization.
- Develop technical plans to evaluate the performance of targeted aroma modules, processed modules and high-impact ingredients.
- Coordinate the evaluation of new materials to assess the potential for flavour creation.
- Formulate new flavour creations or modify existing flavours to meet project requirements.
- Serve as technical expert and advisor to stakeholders and partners for ingredient and flavour performance.
- Manage assigned projects according to Givaudan project management guidelines. Establish and maintain effective relationships with our partners

Your professional profile includes:
- Minimum 10 years of previous experience as a Flavourist
- MSc or PhD in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry
- Demonstrates holistic savoury flavour creation mastery
- Demonstrates expert-level tasting skills with an expert-level ability to understand how to adjust a flavour formulation in the direction needed for flavour modifications
- Expert-level knowledge of raw materials and flavour ingredients and ability to formulate many flavour types to deliver expected flavour performance. Knowledge of Maillard chemistry, creation of process flavours, experimental design and analytical methodologies is an advantage
