Bumble Bee Blinds is the fastest growing Window covering business (blinds, shades, draperies, shutters & outdoor shades) in the country. South Austin is our newest location servicing downtown Austin and south Austin (large territory, booming with opportunity). We are looking for talent to join our team to manage our social media strategy. Here is our current website, Instagram account

Ideal candidates will be enrolled as a Junior, Senior or Graduate level student at their college or university or candidates that want a flexible work schedule working 2-3 days a week.
What you may do:
· Assist in planning and executing marketing strategies/campaigns
· Leverage Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn to connect with communities and groups to introduce our brand and being conversations
· Monitor & respond to social media channels and engage with the online community
· Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks
· Create and distribute marketing materials, both digital and print
· Conduct market research and compile data for analysis
· Assist in SEO efforts and website content management
· Develop influencer campaigns (influencer discovery, vetting, etc.)
· Support team in keeping up to date with the latest (trends, platform updates, specs, etc.) in social media and how they impact our business
· Leverage social listening tool for insights for client work and new business
· Assist with ad hoc requests (mini social reports, post- mortem recaps, etc.)
· Surface real time and user generated content opportunities in social media for our clients
· Scheduling posts via social media management software
· Content development and writing; video editing, creating GIFs, sourcing images, creating graphics
· Create lists of cultural/holiday moments to support social briefs
What we’re looking for:
· Ability to quickly pick up on new tools & software
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Proficiency on social media platforms - Facebook, Instagram, TikTok
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
· Basic understanding of marketing concepts and principles
· Previous experience in marketing is a plus but not required
· Pursuing and/or obtained a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field is a plus
· High self-sufficiency, proactivity
· Attention to detail
· Highly organized
· Superb time management skills
· Demeanor to speak up or present in internal meetings
· Willingness to go above and beyond
· Eagerness to jump on a project at a moment’s notice
Must haves:
· Strong familiarity of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest)
· Strong writing experience
· Passion for data
· Must be able to work up to 20 hours a week
· Must be able to work part-time onsite in Austin office
Bonus if you have:
· Experience with social media campaigns
· Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite)
· Experience with Facebook (Meta) Business Manager or other social ad platforms
· Experience working with influencers
· Experience with paid social is a plus
· Video editing is a huge plus (Adobe Premier)
We are offering a $2,000 sign-on bonus for this role. Terms are: $1,000 will be paid out after 90 days and an additional $1,000 will be paid after 180 days of service and in good-standing and active employment with Bumble Bee Blinds.
