To further scale our growing business, we are looking for a Senior Android Engineer
The role
As a Senior Android Engineer, you will be part of a rapidly growing Engineering department driving Oviva forward. In close collaboration with Product Management, Design, Quality Assurance, and other internal stakeholders, you and your team will be building and contributing to Oviva's mobile products that our patients will interact with, and will have a strong positive social impact.
You will be working in an agile environment and will be a Senior member of a cross-functional squad and will be designing, implementing, and delivering great new features to our patient-facing apps.
Key skills and responsibilities
Developing and maintaining Oviva's mobile apps by implementing new features or improving and maintaining existing ones
Collaborates with squad members on quality, technical design, security & architecture in compliance with standards and concepts
Fixes bugs including proper root cause analyses to ensure issues do not occur again
Is actively involved in product discovery and takes part in technical discovery and translating product requirements into technical tickets
Active contribution and facilitation in daily standup, grooming, review/demo, retrospective, sprint and OKR cycle planning meetings
What are we looking for you to bring
Extensive experience in Android development
Strong Kotlin knowledge (Java is a plus)
Good knowledge of Android architectures (MVVM, MVI, MVP)
Attention to detail for coding practices and standards (SOLID, Clean code)
Good knowledge of Android SDK including the Support libraries (AndroidX, Compose, Navigation)
Strong, efficient and precise communication to peers as well as other business stakeholders
Adaptable, proactive and willing to take ownership
Excellent problem-solving skills
Good to have :
Solid knowledge of standard Android libraries (Hilt, Dagger, Retrofit, Coil, Picasso, Room)
