About the role…

We are looking for the candidate who loves a challenge, expertise would be preferable but not essential as full training will be given.

As a Housekeeping Assistant in our business, your responsibilities will include…

  • Ensures the highest level of guest satisfaction regarding housekeeping areas by providing the highest standard of room, quality guests services and ensuring the privacy of guests is maintained at all times
  • Check housekeeping report daily to ensure we minimise disruption to stay over guests and ensure rooms are ready for check in time.
  • To provide a discreet turn down service taking into account the individual needs of the customer.
  • To work with other member of staff and managers to ensure maximum efficiency at all times
  • To be a team player and ensures cooperation with other departments Company Standards
  • To maintain the bedrooms to the required standard in line with the housekeeping manual and to all specifications detailed.
  • To maintain the organisation and cleanliness of storage areas and maids trolleys
  • To be aware of guest presence at all times and follow the correct procedure before entering a room.
  • To report all lost property to the head or assistant head housekeeper.
  • Has read and understood the company health and safety policy and complies with the policies and procedures as laid out in the Health and safety statement especially regarding the use of equipment and COSHH
  • Is responsible for ensuring that Mini bars are kept fully stocked at all times and guests are accurately billed for products consumed by completing daily reports and stock checks. Informs head of housekeeping of restock requirements.

An ideal Housekeeping Assistant will…

  • Have experience in a similarly high-quality operation, although not essential – an ability to work hard goes a long way.
  • Be driven and focussed on first class standards across every aspect of the operation.
  • Have excellent personal presentation and be consummately professional at all times.
  • Be self-motivated, have the ability to work under pressure whilst remaining positive.
  • Be creative in problem-solving and have excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Have the ability to take direction and work well with a team.
