USC Athletics is looking to hire a Defensive Quality Control Analyst to join our staff and student community of 600+ individuals. This role is responsible for providing administrative support to coaching and operations staff. Responsibilities include organizing, coordinating, and performing analysis of practice and game day operations along with preliminary scouting reports and schemes. This position provides administrative support to football coaching and operations staff to help ensure program success. The individual in this role researches, reports on, and analyzes critical USC and opponent team data; supports recruiting efforts; and assists coaches with camp, clinic, and game day planning and execution.

Reporting directly to the Director of Football Operations. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of football skills and strategies. Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people in a diverse community. Ability to recruit effectively with no athletic grants and highly selective admissions standards. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, coaches, faculty, staff, and the general public. (i.e. strong understanding of the Microsoft Office, excellent communication skills, and strong attention to detail, etc.). Knowledge of and experience working in higher education preferred. Understanding the unique culture and needs of college athletes is preferred.

Preferred candidates will have:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in football coaching, analytics, or related football administration at the collegiate or professional level. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, XO's, and Visio Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills

  • Minimum Education: bachelor’s degree; Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education

  • Strong knowledge of football skills and strategies. Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people in a diverse community. Ability to recruit effectively with no athletic grants and highly selective admissions standards.

Salary Range:

The annual base salary range for this position is $90,000. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
